As part of plans to engage with stakeholders and announce the Bank’s new addition to its network of branches, FBNBank Ghana on Saturday, July 17, 2023 embarked on a health walk as part of its activities to create awareness of its new Tema branch. It is the third service point in Tema after the Community One branch and the GPHA Agency. The new branch is situation in front of Hotel Joe Carl at Community 6 on the Hospital Road in the Tema Metropolis. Staff converged at the forecourt of the new branch and walked through the principal streets of Tema.
The walk, which brought together Management, Staff, family, and friends of the bank lasted a little over two hours and covered over seven kilometers. It provided participants the opportunity to distribute literature on products and services to residents, open accounts and promote business of the Bank to residents in the Tema Metropolis.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive of FBNBank Ghana, Victor Yaw Asante, delivering an address after the walk said, “the walk was to create awareness of the new branch in the community and announce our presence here as a bank. This is just not a branch; it will also be a hub for this side of the Greater Accra region. There is also a dual-purpose lounge where the needs of clients will be attended to. FBNBank has over the years placed its customers at the heart of everything that we do and this new Tema branch will focus on the efforts to bring banking services closer to the doorsteps of our customers and prospects.”
Also speaking at Walk was the Head of Retail Banking, Allen Quaye who said, “the main reason for the walk was to create awareness of the branch and also promote the FBNBank brand. Aside this, the other benefit is to burn calories after this 7-kilometer walk which will physically get us in shape for a sound body to be able to work very well. On this note, I want to thank all staff who took time off their busy schedules to attend this walk to enhance team spirit and increase productivity.”
