Dr Grace Ogwo, a Nigerian-born Mathematician, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike also obtained her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Kwazulu-Natal at the age of 27.
The remarkable Nigerian-born Mathematician holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike where she graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2016.
In August 2017, she was awarded a Mastercard Scholarship under the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) to study a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cape Town.
In February 2019, she was awarded a fee remission from the University of Kwazulu-Natal to study for a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics and she graduated with a summa cum laude.
In May 2023, she graduated with a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
Dr Grace Ogwo is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wits University.
“This is for my dad, he waited to see me obtain a PhD but death had other plans. Thank you for everything dad, we finally made it. I love and miss you so much,” said Dr Grace Ogwo.
