Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) launched its tree-planting initiative, “Growing for a Greener Tomorrow; CBG’s Commitment,” with a goal to plant 60,000 trees across local communities, primarily in Mpraeso, Eastern Region.
Managing Director Daniel Addo emphasized the importance of environmental sustainability and CBG’s commitment to supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contributions.
The initiative aligns with CBG’s holistic approach to sustainability, including reducing carbon footprint, increasing renewable energy use, and promoting sustainable practices.
Board Chairman of the bank, Nana Abrah Appiah, expressed hope and optimism for the future, emphasizing the institution’s values and priorities in environmental health.
The event marked the beginning of a journey towards environmental stewardship and climate action, inspiring others to join in.
