Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, Founder and CEO of Charger Limited, has donated a borehole to the Mirig-Nabango community in the Upper East Region, providing vital access to clean drinking water.
The borehole, commissioned on June 15, is a life-changing intervention for the community, which has long struggled with water scarcity and contamination.
Dr. Borketey’s donation is part of his company’s initiative to focus on water and sanitation projects this year.
The Chief of the Mirig-Nabango traditional area, Naba Atuguba Atogumzoya Benjamin II, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Borketey, describing the borehole as a lifesaver and a symbol of hope for the community.
The Assemblyman of the community, Hon. Akumsigiya Nsoh John, also thanked Dr. Borketey and appealed for additional boreholes and community projects.
The donation is a testament to Dr. Borketey’s commitment to social responsibility and uplifting marginalized communities.
