OMCs raise fuel prices beyond GH₵15 per litre

Several oil marketing companies (OMCs) have started increasing their prices at the pumps with the commencement of July’s second pricing window. 

Notably, Shell, a leading OMC, has adjusted its prices, with a litre of petrol rising from GH₵14.80 to GH₵15.10 and a litre of diesel from GH₵14.92 to GH₵15.25.

More OMCs are expected to follow suit, raising their prices in the coming days.

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) had forecasted a 4 per cent rise in petroleum product prices, effective Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
