The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) closed its latest session with no movement in its major indices, reflecting a day of subdued trading.
The benchmark Composite Index remained unchanged at 4,457.93 points, maintaining an impressive year-to-date (YTD) return of 42.42%.
Similarly, the Financial Stocks Index also saw no change, closing at 2,115.52 points, with a YTD return of 11.25%.
Market capitalization held steady at GH₵92.98 billion, as the trading session ended without any gainers or decliners.
However, market activity saw a significant drop, with trading volume plummeting by 71.58% to 21,890 shares, down from the previous session’s 77,028 shares.
The value of traded shares also declined, falling by 25.48% to GH₵129,929.55.
MTN Ghana led the trading session with 7,971 shares exchanged, valued at GH₵18,253.59. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) saw minimal activity, with only 1,100 shares traded, worth GH₵165.00. A total of twelve stocks were traded during the session, underscoring the broader market’s lackluster performance.
