The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has announced the resignation of Abena Osei-Asare, Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, from her position as a non-executive director of the bank, effective August 7, 2024.
Mrs Osei-Asare has served on the ADB Board of Directors since her appointment in August 2018, playing a significant role in various capacities, including chairing the bank’s Risk Committee.
Her resignation comes as she takes on new and critical roles as a board member of both the Bank of Ghana and the Financial Stability Council. These recent appointments have prompted her to step down from her position at ADB PLC.
In a statement, ADB’s Board Chairman, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Board, Management, and Staff, acknowledging Osei-Asare’s invaluable contributions to the bank’s growth and development during her six-year tenure.
