First Bank Ghana has donated to charity homes and schools as part of its annual Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CR&S) Week celebrations.
The donations, totaling GHC 135,000, were made to support education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in underprivileged communities.
Beneficiaries included the Village of Hope Orphanage, Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Ghana, Making Learning Happen, and Music for Quality Feet. The donations aim to improve the lives of children and communities, aligning with the bank’s commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices.
According to Managing Director and CEO of the bank, Victor Yaw Asante, “CR&S activities enable us to engage with local communities, making a positive impact on their lives.” He emphasized the importance of employee engagement and collaboration in CR&S initiatives.
Executive Director of Making Learning Possible, Sulemana Abubakar, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating it would help provide desks and chairs for deprived public primary schools.
