A group of 322 Doctors of Pharmacy is demanding the immediate payment of their one-year allowances from the Ministry of Health (MoH). The doctors have issued a 30-day ultimatum, warning that they will take legal action if their payments are not made within this period.
In a letter dated August 21, the doctors’ lawyers informed the MoH that their clients were engaged by the Pharmacy Council, representing the Ministry, from July 2023 to July 2024. Despite their year-long service, the doctors have not received any allowances, which they argue is a violation of established practice.
The letter stated, “We have been instructed by our clients to respectfully demand the immediate payment of all allowances due to our clients in full.”
The doctors have made it clear that if the Ministry fails to respond favorably within 30 days, they will proceed with legal action to recover their unpaid allowances.
