BetPawa invests in football infrastructure with Astroturf Pitch

BetPawa Ghana has commissioned a newly built a standard artificial football pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram at a short ceremony held earlier today as the company’s dedication to sports development in Ghana and Africa and enrich their partnership with the Ghana Football Association.

As part of its commitment to sports, betPawa through this initiative and GFA’s strategic developmental plan to transform sports, will help in more talents development and support the Soccer Centre to be able to accommodate the various national teams as football continues to grow in the country.

In attendance of the event was the President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, Mr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, officials of the GFA and representatives from betPawa, the media and other football icons.

In his address on the FA’s relationship with betPawa their developmental plan, commitment to football leadership and GFA’s strategic developmental plan, the President of the FA, Mr. Kurt Okra said, “this is 1st t phase of their investment in the facility and they are committed to invest more which will be the 2nd phase of this project where we will have the stands and changing rooms, the 2nd phase will soon be rolled out and we are looking forward to have a longer relationship with betPawa”

According to Charles Tape, African business development manager for betPawa, the company is happy to partner with GFA and is committed towards the growth of Ghana football and the impact the investment will make to Ghana football. “the 1st phase has been achieved now we will get into the 2nd phase, we are looking to have a big impact in Ghana football, we are hoping that more talents will be developed with this initiative” he said.

The betPawa park is part of the strategic developmental plan of the GFA technical centre which seeks to construct a mini stadium to host international matches, hotel facility, administration block, beach soccer and futsal pitches as well as other natural and artificial pitches.

According to the president of the FA, betPawa is currently paying local league players with local room bonuses to support various teams.
