GRIDCo and ECG attribute power outages to technical issue at Atuabo Gas Plant

The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have linked the recent intermittent power supply, commonly referred to as ‘dumsor’, to a technical fault at the Ghana National Gas Company’s (GNGC) Gas Processing Plant in Atuabo.

Several areas across the country have been experiencing power outages due to a limited gas supply for power generation.

In a joint statement, GRIDCo and ECG apologized for the inconvenience and assured the public that GNGC engineers are working to address the issue and restore full gas supply as soon as possible.
