Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has announced its full support for the nationwide strike declared by the Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG). The KTU chapter of TUSAAG confirmed it will join the industrial action until further notice.
TUSAAG announced the strike, which is set to commence on Friday, September 27, 2024, with plans to withdraw all services. The strike is in response to the government’s failure to fulfill its commitments under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and implement revised allowances for senior staff at public universities.
In a letter issued on Wednesday, September 26, 2024, to the university’s management, TUSAAG-KTU members stated, “We wish to serve management this notice that TUSAAG-KTU Chapter members are in full support of the nationwide strike and will observe accordingly until further notice.”
