The Ghana Highways Authority (GHA) has announced scheduled maintenance work on the Atomic Bridge, set to begin on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The repairs will focus on the bridge’s expansion joints and are expected to last until Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
The project aims to strengthen the bridge’s structural integrity and improve safety for commuters. During this period, traffic will be affected, and motorists are advised to follow the instructions of traffic management teams stationed at the site.
“Motorists should expect traffic disruptions and are urged to comply with the traffic management systems implemented by our bridge maintenance team,” the GHA said in a public notice. “We recommend that drivers consider using alternative routes where possible.”
Work will take place daily from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. For updates or further information, the public is encouraged to contact the Public Affairs Division of the Ghana Highways Authority.
