President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially inaugurated the Bank of Ghana’s (BoG) new state-of-the-art headquarters in Accra, marking a significant advancement in the Central Bank’s efforts to modernize its operations and service delivery.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, brought together senior government officials, BoG executives, and key stakeholders from Ghana’s financial sector.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo underscored the critical role of the new facility in transforming Ghana’s financial infrastructure. He lauded the Bank of Ghana for its dedication to innovation and operational efficiency.
“This new headquarters will serve as the command centre for the bank’s operations, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in its service to the nation,” the President remarked.
He further highlighted the headquarters’ potential to bolster the Central Bank’s ability to implement critical financial reforms, enhance regulatory frameworks, and improve Ghana’s investment climate for both local and international stakeholders.
