Property Expo 2025 attracts strong demand from Ghanaian diaspora

Even before the launch of the highly anticipated maiden edition of the Diaspora Property Expo 2025, the organisers have announced that more than 13 top real estate developers in Ghana have confirmed their participation, while another 57- requests for participation are under consideration.
This was disclosed at the launch by Mr. Roland Thomas, a member of the Local Planning Board (LPB) of DPE2025, is responsible for sponsorships. The launch was held at the Accra Marriott Airport Hotel on November 20, 2024.
According to Roland Thomas, the DPE2025 team receives at least ten (10) requests for participation each day since the launch was announced in GREDA platforms at the beginning of October 2024. About 90% of the requests come from GREDA members. He heaped praises on strategic partner – the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) for ensuring massive patronage and interests in the event.
The Country Director of DPE 2025, Sidney Justin Tehoda, confirmed in his speech that the main events will be held at the World Trade Centre of Greater Philadelphia in the

United States, on March 21-23, 2025, and in Toronto, Canada, on March 28-30, 2025. “After a series of activities planned from December 2024 through to February 2025, the main events will comprise of major exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions, deal room, investment clinics targeting between 500 and 700 discerning visitors and potential property buyers and investors in the US and Canada”
In a speech read on behalf of the Minister for Works & Housing, Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Chief Director, Stephen Yaw Osei said: “Our Ministry, through the Economic Trade and Investment Bureau, is proud to partner in this endeavour, particularly as we look forward to the subsequent launches in the United States of America and Canada, culminating into the Expo in Toronto, Canada, in March 2025. This collaboration exemplifies our commitment of the Government of Ghana to engage the Diaspora, particularly through the Diaspora Engagement Policy, other laws and policies aimed at recognising the role of the Diaspora in national development”
He said the real estate sector remained a cornerstone of sustainable economic development and that the diaspora’s participation is crucial in driving growth and innovation in this sector. “This Expo serves as a bridge, connecting expertise, resources, and opportunities across borders. We commend Diaspora Property Investment Limited and Made in Ghana Consulting Limited and other partners for this forward-thinking initiative and pledge our continued support in ensuring its success. The Ministry stands ready to facilitate and strengthen these important economic bonds between our nation and our diaspora communities” he concluded.
Ms Ayishatu Abdallah, a Director at ECTIB on behalf of Honourable Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration reiterated Government’s support for this project; including collaborations with the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC and the Ghana High Commission in Ottawa.
Keynote speaker, renowned lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata said DPE2025 must make the Diasporan Ghanaian as its primary target. The President of GREDA, Mr. Patrick Ebo Bonful, and GREDA Council Chairman in charge of Events & Marketing- Mr. Salah Kweku Kalmoni assured Philadelphia and Toronto of GREDA’s best representation at the Diaspora Property Expo in March 2025.
MUSIGA President Bessa Simons, who is a cultural ambassador of the project, performed three of his oldie-but-goodies at the launch, including Belembe, Shine Day, and Welcome Home. He and his friends are expected to perform on the closing days of each of the destinations.
Diaspora Property Expo 2025 is organized by Diaspora Property Investment Ltd and Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd in partnership with the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Ministry of Works & Housing; Ghana Embassy in Washington DC, Ghana High Commission in Ottawa, Globl RED Consulting LLC (Beverly Hills) and Aim to Impact (Canada).
