The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, has presented a new vehicle to the Centre’s Zonal Office in Takoradi to enhance its operational activities across the Western, Western North, and Central Regions.

The donation, made under the Ghana Economic Transformation Project (GETP), forms part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of regional investment promotion structures.

The GETP is a World Bank-funded initiative aimed at supporting institutions that drive private sector growth and economic transformation.

Speaking during a brief handing-over ceremony in Takoradi, Mr. Madjie emphasized the importance of resourcing regional offices to play a more active role in attracting investments and coordinating with local stakeholders.

“This vehicle is a strategic tool that will enhance the Centre’s ability to identify investment opportunities, engage with businesses, and support initiatives such as the Western Region Investment Forum,” he said.

Mr. Madjie added that regional operations are critical to the GIPC’s broader mission of decentralizing investment promotion and ensuring that all parts of the country benefit from Ghana’s investment drive.

The Regional and Zonal Head, Mr. Edmund Ofoli Onyame, expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the vehicle would significantly boost outreach efforts and stakeholder engagement in the target regions.
