The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, has announced plans to formalize his philanthropic efforts toward the Christian community, mirroring his support for the Muslim community.

This follows his recent donation of 250 packs of bottled water and an undisclosed cash amount to the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) ahead of its upcoming 2025 National Delegates Conference.

Making the presentation, Hon. Boamah explained that the gesture was part of his broader commitment to promoting religious harmony and supporting the spiritual welfare of Ghanaians.

“This is simply an extension of the goodwill I show to the Christian community, just as I do during Ramadan for our Muslim brothers and sisters,” he stated.

He further noted that this is not his first such donation, recalling a similar contribution to the Christian Council of Ghana during their Annual General Meeting.

“I’ve decided to institutionalize these gestures annually as part of my contribution to national unity and faith-based development,” he added.

The donation was timely, coming just before the GPCC’s 2025 National Delegates Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25. The items were officially presented and received by the Council’s leadership on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Receiving the donation, GPCC Chairman Rev. Eric Nyamekye expressed profound appreciation for the MP’s continued generosity.

“We deeply appreciate Hon. Boamah’s consistent support. His kindness reflects a spirit of inclusivity and respect for the role of faith in national development,” Rev. Nyamekye remarked.

The upcoming conference is expected to convene leading figures from Pentecostal and Charismatic churches nationwide to deliberate on key issues including unity, evangelism, and good governance.
