Parliament endorses appointment of four MPs as deputy ministers

Parliament has given its approval to the appointment of four Members of Parliament to serve as Deputy Ministers in various sectors, reinforcing the government’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and policy execution.

Among those confirmed is Dorcas Affo-Toffey, who will assume the position of Deputy Minister for Transport, while James Gyakye Quayson has been appointed Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Also approved are Mohammed Adam Sukparu, who will serve as Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, and Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, who takes up the role of Deputy Minister for Health.

These appointments are aimed at strengthening ministerial leadership across key sectors, with the new deputies expected to assist their respective ministers in advancing national development priorities and improving public sector performance.
