Free Zones Authority engages Pakistani Diplomatic delegation

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, on September 15, 2025, received a Pakistani diplomatic delegation led by H.E. Mr. Najeeb Durrani, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Ghana, and Mr. Noor Nabi, Chargé d’Affaires (Head of Mission) of the Pakistan High Commission in Accra.

The visit served as an official introduction of the new High Commissioner and provided an opportunity for him to familiarize himself with the work of the Ghana Free Zones Authority and the government’s priority sectors.

Dr. Awusi gave a brief overview of the mandate, services, and incentives of the Free Zones Scheme, while reaffirming government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for foreign businesses.

 She emphasized opportunities under Ghana’s 24-hour economy policy, particularly in the manufacturing and processing sectors.

In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Durrani praised Ghana as the Switzerland of Africa for its peace and stability, describing it as an attractive investment destination for Pakistani businesses.

Both parties underscored the need for deeper economic collaboration between Ghana and Pakistan to promote mutual growth and prosperity.
