Telecel Ghana has responded to concerns raised by the Minority in Parliament regarding the telecommunications sector, specifically addressing its national roaming agreement with AT Ghana.
According to Telecel Ghana, the National Communications Authority (NCA) directed the migration of AT Ghana’s network traffic to Telecel’s network following the shutdown of AT’s sites by ATC Ghana due to long-overdue debts. Telecel Ghana began providing national roaming services to AT on September 1, 2025, ensuring uninterrupted mobile voice and data services for AT customers.
The company also clarified its investment and operational performance, stating that it has posted a year-to-date net profit of multiple hundreds of millions of Ghana cedis and has invested over $240 million in financial relief and infrastructure development since its acquisition in 2023.
Telecel Ghana emphasized its commitment to corporate social responsibility, highlighting its donations to healthcare and education initiatives, as well as its support for cultural and traditional festivals across the country.
The company assured the public of its commitment to transparency, ethical conduct, and professionalism, and expressed its willingness to engage with stakeholders to provide factual information.
