Ghana ranked second-safest nation in Africa
Ghana has secured the second spot in Africa's safety rankings for 2025, according to a report by Altezza Travel, a Tanzania-based destination management company. The West African country's strong performance was attributed to its robust democratic institutions, including an independent judiciary, multiparty democracy, freedom of speech, and a free press. Ghana's ranking surpassed that of several countries, including Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, China, and Jamaica, in terms of the Global Peace Index.
