IES: Rescheduled WAPCO Maintenance to Boost Liquid Fuel Reserves
The Institute of Energy Security (IES) has stated that the rescheduled maintenance works by the West Africa Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCO) will allow the government to bolster liquid fuel reserves for powering thermal plants during supply shortages. The remarks from IES follow WAPCO’s confirmation that the second phase of its maintenance works will take place from February 3 to March 2, 2025. This phase will include offshore pipeline cleaning and inspection, a process known as pigging.
