With a collective GDP of $2.6 trillion, the continent lags behind global economic powerhouses such as China ($17.5 trillion), the United States ($25 trillion), and India ($4 trillion). Even smaller European nations like the United Kingdom and France outpace Africa, with GDPs of $3.5 trillion and $3.1 trillion, respectively.
