Ghana records GH¢5.4 billion trade surplus in Q2 2024

Ghana recorded a trade surplus of GH¢5.4 billion in the second quarter of 2024, according to the latest data from the Ghana Statistical Service. This comes after the country’s total trade value for Q2 2024 reached GH¢123.0 billion, with exports amounting to GH¢64.2 billion and imports at GH¢58.8 billion. The trade surplus marks a significant turnaround from the GH¢3.1 billion deficit recorded during the same period in 2023. In US dollar terms, the total trade value was $9.0 billion.
