VRA staff oppose proposed merger, plan to petition President Akufo-Addo
The staff groups of the Volta River Authority (VRA) have expressed strong opposition to a proposed merger involving the VRA, Bui Power Authority, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo). The proposal also seeks to establish an independent Thermal Power Authority by separating VRA’s thermal plants.
