Presidency clarifies health status of secretary Nana Bediatuo Asante
The Office of the President has issued an official statement addressing rumors regarding the health of Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to President Akufo-Addo. The government confirmed that Mr. Asante fell ill while on official duty in the United States. According to the communique, Nana Bediatuo Asante became unwell shortly after the conclusion of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he was a key member of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation.
