GPHA disputes compensation claims by former casual workers
The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has stated that a group of former casual workers threatening a demonstration over alleged unpaid severance compensation have no legitimate claim. The GPHA asserts that the group is attempting to mislead the public and has been making similar threats each election year to pressure the Authority into paying undeserved compensation, despite the Supreme Court's 2014 ruling on the matter.
