The Minority members of the Education Committee of Parliament have disclosed that the government owes over £17 million in tuition fees to 927 Ghanaian students on scholarship in the United Kingdom for 27 months. The caucus says the government’s failure to meet its financial obligation has forced some universities to withdraw their support and cancel the Memorandum of Understandings with the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
