UMB Bank says it has in the last four years supported the government flagship industrilisation policy, one district one factory (1D1F) with over GH ¢215million to 10 companies in the country.
We have worked closely with the Minister for Trade and Industry as well as the Ministry of Finance to become the bank of choice for 1D1F, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Nana Benneh said.
He said this is not strange as our Bank is noted for supporting Ghana government industrialization policies, since 1972., stressing that on 1D1F, they provided over GHc215 million to 10 companies and “we are proud that today we are launching one of our stars in this regard, RikPat Ltd.”
He added that UMB will continue to showcase RikPat as an example to all indigenous SME businesses in Ghana, as proof that one can grow under government boost-schemes like 1D1F, especially if they have a friend and a partner like UMB.
“We will continue to serve as Ghana’s indigenous Merchant Bank, building businesses in Ghana since 1972,” Nana Benneh said.
He congratulated RikPat Ltd for the successful commissioning of their ultra-modern lube plant by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo in Gomoa Domenase in the Central Region.
