Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Richard Etornam Nyarko has sent out a message of solidarity to all final year students who begin their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) today.

A little over 600,000 candidates will today, Monday, August 7, 2023, sit for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

They include 300,323 males and 300,391 females from 18,993 schools nationwide.

In a statement, Mr. Nyarko said “Today, our future leaders set on course to write their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). This is a defining period for their successes.

All great men in the history of our homeland once passed this stage to shape them, for the journey ahead.”

He added that as the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, who places a premium on [formal] education, he wishes all partaking students the best.

He therefore encourage them to stick to the rules of the exams and eschew all forms of examination malpractices.

According to him, the Regional Youth Wing has a bumper award for schools and students with outstanding performance, adding that  participating students and schools should be incentivized and hence accelerate their efforts to produce their best.

The region aims to stand tall and gain pre-eminence amongst the rest. Once again, I wish all finalists the best of luck, he said.
