FBNBank dominates Ghana Business Integrity Awards

FBNBank Ghana has reaffirmed its position as one of Ghana’s financial institutions to reckon with after the Bank scooped six awards out of twenty-five at the maiden Ghana Business Integrity Awards (GBIAs) held at the La Palm Royal Beach last Friday.
The Ghana Business Integrity Awards is an annual event that recognises and celebrates companies that have demonstrated exceptional integrity in their business practices. The Ghana Business Awards is also an important platform for promoting integrity and best practices in Ghana and recognising the contributions of companies and leaders who are making a positive impact on society and the economy.
The six awards FBNBank Ghana picked during the event were three organisational awards, one team award, and two personality awards. Mr. Victor Yaw Asante, the Managing Director of FBNBank, was awarded the Ethical Leadership Award. FBNBank Ghana Limited was awarded the Ethical Business of the Year Award, the Employee Welfare and Diversity Award, and the Ethical Financial Services Business of the Year Awards. The FBNBank Ghana Marketing and Corporate Communications (M&CC) team was awarded the Ethical Marketing and Corporate Communications Team of the year, and FBNBank’s M&CC Country Team Lead, Enoch Vanderpuye also won the Ethical Marketing Leadership Award.
The Special Guest of Honour who presented the awards was Honourable Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah, Deputy Minister of Health and also Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe and was received on behalf of the bank by Semiu Lamidi, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer who led the Bank’s delegation to the event.
Commenting on the awards, Semiu Lamidi said, “Over the years, FBNBank has through the actions and efforts of its staff, demonstrated that it is all about others, be it business or community activities. We have done this by supporting causes that resonate with our brand and appeal to our people. This award holds immense significance for us because it recognises our unwavering commitment to creating a workplace that values and supports our employees. Over the years, we have implemented various initiatives to enhance employee welfare and have invested in training and development opportunities, empowering our employees to grow personally and professionally. We could not achieve these laurels without our exceptional hardworking staff at FBNBank. We will not relent on our oars but will still strive for the best.”
In addition to Semiu Lamidi, FBNBank Ghana was represented on the night by Allen Quaye Head, Retail Banking, Jamila Munkaila Area Manager, Accra West Zone, and Enoch Vanderpuye, Country Team Lead, Marketing & Corporate Communication.
