Huawei Ghana as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, has contributed towards the construction of an eco-friendly Astroturf park to support the recreational activities of children and youth within Dansoman and its environs.
The facility (7-Aside multipurpose Astroturf park) is expected to promote community integration and build on the sports talents of the youth, subsequently contributing to revenue generation for the community.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Ablekuma West Municipality, Hon. George Cyril Bray commended Huawei for its concentrated effort in supporting the infrastructural needs of the people especially the youth. He assured the company that the eco-friendly AstroTurf park will be put to good use when completed.
The Dansoman Children’s Park has served the community for over 20 years by providing a safe space for children to play. However, the lack of proper play surfaces limits their ability to fully enjoy the park. The new AstroTurf park is expected to provide a better recreational experience for children and youth in the community, and serve various sportive needs.
