The Office of the President has refuted claims of involvement in a land dispute concerning Ghana International School (GIS), following accusations that the Head of the VVIP Unit was connected to efforts to encroach on the school’s property.
In a statement released on Thursday, September 5, 2024, and signed by the Director of Communication at the office of the president, Eugene Arhin, the Presidency clarified that it has no stake in the land located in Cantonments and has not authorized any officer or agent to interfere in the issue.
“The Office of the President does NOT have any interest whatsoever in the piece of land in question,” the statement asserted, dismissing the allegations as baseless.
Additionally, the statement revealed that the Office has lodged a formal complaint with the Inspector General of Police, calling for a full investigation into the matter.
The public was urged to disregard any claims linking the Office of the President to the dispute, labeling such accusations as false.
