UBA Ghana appoints Rosemary Seneadza as head of legal & company secretary

United Bank for Africa Ghana Ltd has appointed Rosemary Seneadza as the Head of Legal & Company Secretary. In this role, Rosemary will provide leadership in legal matters and enhance corporate governance framework of the bank.
Rosemary is an accomplished legal and corporate governance professional with over fifteen (15) years of experience in banking, financial services regulation, corporate governance, and board advisory within Ghana’s financial services sector. She brings deep expertise in banking law, regulatory compliance, corporate secretarial practice, risk management, litigation management, and executive advisory.
Commenting on the appointment, Bernard Gyebi, Managing Director/CEO of UBA Ghana, expressed confidence in Rosemary’s capabilities, stating that she will play a crucial role in strengthening the legal function and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
She is a member of the Executive Management and contributes to strategic planning, policy formulation, and institutional governance.
Over the course of her career, Rosemary has held senior legal leadership roles within the financial services sector, leading board restructuring initiatives, supporting regulatory examinations, advising on shareholder transactions, negotiating and implementing core banking and digital financial services agreements, and strengthening governance and compliance frameworks.
She has also played a key role in ensuring alignment with evolving banking regulations while supporting institutional growth and financial inclusion objectives.
Rosemary is a qualified lawyer called to the Ghana Bar and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana and has completed several executive and professional programmes in banking regulation, sustainable banking, cyber governance, and digital financial services.
Rosemary’s experience will offer valuable contributions as the bank continues to uphold high standards of legal excellence and governance in its operations.
