The Group Chief Executive Officer of Hollard Ghana, Patience Akyianu, has been honoured at the maiden University of Ghana Business School Alumni Awards for her contributions to business and industry as an alumnus and ambassador of the school.
The award was to recognise alumni and students in various leadership roles who have excelled at their positions and through their works and achievements have been impactful to the University of Ghana Business School.
Known as the University of Ghana Business School Alumni Business Excellence Awards and held in Accra, it was on the theme, “Awarding Excellence in Achievement: The Role of UGBS Alumni.”
Receiving the award, Ms Akyianu expressed thanks to the almighty God, her family and work colleagues for their support and commended her alma mater, the University of Ghana Business School, as well as the alumni association for the recognition.
“As an ambassador of this noble academic institution, I will continue to help students bridge the gap between academia and field of work through innovative initiatives that address their needs.
I also wish to use this opportunity to encourage students to offer their best always and never relent in their studies”, she added.
The Alumni Association’s maiden Business Excellence Awards for alumni and students are aligned with the school’s strategic pillars and values.
They are designed to identify and celebrate individuals and businesses that make outstanding contributions to the success of the UGBS in diverse socio-economic ways of development in Ghana.
