Accra Brewery PLC, a subsidiary of ABInBev and a leading manufacturer/distributor of beer and non-alcoholic malt beverages in Ghana has introduced a new beverage into the market.
Known as “Corona extra”, the 47 per cent alcoholic beverage recognised as the world’s most premium beer essentially invites the consumers to disconnect from routine and reconnect with nature.
In a release issued by the company, it said “the premium beer, which is classic, authentic, and recognised worldwide for its high quality, refreshing taste and image has come to Ghana to stay and take its throne.”
Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Country Marketing lead Chuka Nnaobi said, “as a premium beer, Corona inspires reconnection with our essential nature, going outside to live moments, and pausing to appreciate all that is real and authentic, this brand will be introducing some excitement into the Ghanaian market.
“Corona beer with its brand name “This is Living” seeks to tap into the universal desire for freedom, the brand wants to inspire people to go outside and live more moments that matter. Corona beer is best enjoyed with a lime wedge for an unparalleled flavor of relaxation.”
The Managing Director of ABL, Galo Rivera promoted the freshness of the new product adding that “I am confident that the Ghanaian reception to Corona beer will continue to grow.”
The release said the Corona launch was about good music, dancing, interactions, and tasting of cold beer for legal drinking age consumers all night.
It said patrons were also presented with a series of performances from Kentos band, DJ Fui and dance performances by the DWP crew, and a feel of nature from the beach.
